Home Page

This web site is dedicated to bring praise and glory through hymns, songs and inspirational stories to our Heavenly Father. He has sent His Son who wonderfully saved us from our sins by His saving grace to the glory of God the Father.

The latest news. All Video Hymns are also in MP4 format so that they can be played or streamed on most, if not all, web browsers. Please look up the menu item above called MP4 Video Hymns.  The existing Video Hymns files are WMV files which can still be downloaded and will remain on the website. (PS, I am changing all WMV Video files to MP4 HD Files which will have a much better picture and should be compatible with most browsers, but it will take some time to do them all)

Jack And Marlene Dorrestyn were inspired to build this site for video hymns with synchronised lyrics and songs of worship and inspirational thoughts and stories, and will include video hymns and songs for streaming or downloading purposes. To download songs or video’s, right hand click on video or song and place curser on “Save Target as” from dropdown list and click and save to your files. To play files left hand click.(some internet connections may take a little longer to open files for playing or downloading). Over time the video hymn songs with synchronised lyrics and music files will grow and if you contact us by email we will place video hymns or hymn music by request on our website.

Finding God   Part 1

Can a child find God?

A child understands kinship between two people long before understanding the stating of a truth.

So before he has any vocabulary at all, he easily relates to his mother and other persons around him, and recognises that these people are in relationship one to another as well as separately to himself.

And if these individuals are also in kinship with God, this too will eventually be noted by the child. As mother and other acquaintances talk to God, it will be apparent to the infant that he is witnessing a bond of a special kind, one which inspires reverence and commitment.

At an early age a child can have his own part in this. He may start with a simple and obvious prayer, saying “Thank you” for his food.  This is quite meaningful because it is linked with one of the youngster’s chief experiences.

Can a little one find God? Yes, provided that the child’s education in spiritual things occurs at the same time and in the same natural way as his education in all the other phases of living.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” Matthew 19.14.

Will we?

“Our children too shall serve him, for they shall hear from us about the wonders of the Lord.”

Psalm 22.30 (Living Bible).
